Like many Livery Companies, the Cordwainers are proud to support the Armed Forces and organisations which help their members and families. 

In particular, the Company is honoured to have a long-standing relationship of over 60 years with the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers.

Harben Armoury Fund (HAF)

The HAF is a charity managed by the Cordwainers alongside members of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers.  The HAF supports London-based Fusilier detachments within Army cadet sectors through the provision of minibuses, new boots and camp costs as well as other training and recreational expenses, such as battlefield tours and overseas camps.

Royal Regiment of Fusiliers (Fusiliers Aid Society)

The Fusiliers Aid Society helps former Fusiliers who bear the physical and mental scars of combat, those who have fallen on hard times, or those Fusiliers and their families dealing with problems stemming from age-related illness or tragic accidents.  Recent grant-funded projects include training for mental health and wellbeing area representatives, a hardship fund and support for the Regiment’s anniversary commemorations.

Walking With The Wounded (WWTW)

WWTW is a leading military charity which recognises that those who served, deserve. Whether mentally, physically or socially wounded, WWTW support the most in need. They are the ex-service personnel who have fallen furthest from where they want to be and need a personalised programme to help them get back on their feet, reigniting their sense of purpose and making a positive contribution to their communities again. The Cordwainers support WWTW’s Boots On The Ground Quick Reaction Fund. Boots On The Ground Care Coordinators deliver social welfare support to veterans and their families contending with homelessness, debt issues, substance misuse and/or other social barriers.
