Worshipful Company of Cordwainers

Marching for the Marsden

Posted by: JHM Date: 01 Mar 2017

The Master’s charity for 2016-17 was the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, based at The Royal Marsden Hospital, which was founded by Past Master Dr William Marsden in 1851. It is one of Britain’s leading cancer hospitals and on the 19th March, over 70 Cordwainers and their families participated in the Marsden March to raise vital funds for the hospital’s world-class research and care.

We raised an incredible £55,000 over the course of the year: £35,00 from themarch and a further £20,000 from the magnificent rowing in the Great River Race.

We did it!
