Worshipful Company of Cordwainers

Make your pigs fly!

There are many different ways you could fill your piggy banks. What will you do? Will you be digging down the back of the sofa, collecting 20 pence pieces, holding a coffee morning or maybe bungee jumping?

We want to know the most imaginative, outrageous, glorious, fantastic thing you plan to do to make pigs fly for the blind.

Most of all, we would like you to send the money to the Cordwainers’ Charitable Account to support charities for blind and visually impaired people.

Here’s how to do it:

1. Empty Ruby, count the money and donate the equivalent sum to the Cordwainers’ Charity account via electronic banking. Use the reference ‘piggy banks’.Bank details are: Sort Code: 15-99-00  Account Number: 15041180

2. Empty Ruby, count the money and write a cheque to the ‘Cordwainers’ Charity’ and send it to the Cordwainers’ Office marked ‘piggy banks’.

3. Empty Ruby and count the money. Go to www.justgiving.com/CordwainersCharities4theBlind
and donate the equivalent amount. (Please note that we lose 7% of every donation as commission to JustGiving).

4. If you find counting the money a bit of a boar, the Events Committee have offered to guess the weight of the pig. Bring your fattened up piggy to the next event at Clothworker’s Hall, leave Ruby in the Events Committee Sty and they will sort it all out.
