Since 2014, the Cordwainers National Footwear Student of the Year competition has been open to students of the three undergraduate footwear design courses in the UK: at De Montfort University, the University of Northampton and London College of Fashion, University of the Arts, London.
We are delighted that the competition is going ahead almost as usual this year and would like to extend our thanks to the judges, the universities and, most of all, the dedicated footwear design students for their hard work in making it happen.
Britain leads the world in footwear design and we firmly believe in nurturing the talents of young people. Investing in footwear design and encouraging the manufacture of the finest quality footwear is the core purpose of our company.
Honorary Liveryman Professor Datuk Jimmy Choo OBE has sent a special message to all the contestants:
“A very good day to everyone. I am Professor Jimmy Choo. I would like to congratulate all the contestants for their great hard work throughout the course.
At this very difficult period, please take good care of yourself and your families.”
